What and why
The
installercheck fails onmainsince uv 0.13.1 (run).test_adding_a_plugin_by_its_bare_name_keeps_the_version_the_tool_pinsfails with uv 0.13.1 and passes with uv 0.13.0, with the same code. CI installs the newest uv, so each pull request that runs this tier fails too.The test compared the tool's files after
tool.rebuild(), which runsuv tool upgrade --reinstall. In uv 0.13.1, auv tool upgradethat does not change the version now saves its settings touv-receipt.toml(astral-sh/uv#22499). The test environment setsUV_FIND_LINKS, so uv adds those links to the receipt'sfind-linksagain. Thus the comparison found a change that uv made, not a change that agent-env made.The test now compares the files directly after
plugin add, which must change nothing. Then it rebuilds the tool and makes sure that the plugin keeps version 0.3.0.How it was tested
