CodeQL default setup runs on ubuntu-latest, so every analysis shows the notice that the label will migrate to Ubuntu 26. This PR replaces default setup with a committed workflow that runs the same analysis on ubuntu-26.04, which removes the notice and pins the runner image in the repository.

The workflow scans actions and python in one matrix job per language with the default query suite and build-mode: none, the same as default setup. It triggers on pushes to main, pull requests, a weekly schedule and manual dispatch. The job gets contents: read and security-events: write and no other permissions.

🚀 Rollout

  • Switch CodeQL default setup off right before merging. GitHub does not process advanced-setup results while default setup is enabled, so until then the upload step on this PR may report that default setup is on.

Default setup runs on ubuntu-latest, which is about to migrate to Ubuntu 26.
A committed workflow pins ubuntu-26.04 and keeps the same languages, query
suite and triggers.
