Summary

Render version authors as full names with colored discs and separators. Keep each author together when wrapping, use lighter disc colors in dark mode, and use normal foreground text for names across Mantine, Ariakit, and ShadCN.
Make Arrow Up/Down and Home/End update both focus and preview within the visible history list, preserving comparison mode and leaving inputs and menus alone.
Rename comparison controls to "Show changes" / "Hide changes" in all locales and use a document-diff icon in the header and comparison baseline.
Simplify author resolution into useSnapshotUsers and update cross-skin visual baselines.
Suppress onChange notifications for version previews, including comparisons. Restore snapshots through the live editor state so restores notify change listeners and subsequent edits continue to work.
Keep loaded history visible after creating, renaming, or removing versions. Rebuild invalidated history on the next pagination request and publish the replacement rows and cursor together. Failed reads retain the existing history for retry; manual refresh still resets to the first page.
Avoid automatically comparing against the pinned document beginning while older history remains unloaded, including with the named-only filter. Explicit beginning comparisons remain available, and loading another page does not change the active comparison.
Preserve the original live renderer when leaving version history, including when collaboration has a suggestion renderer configured, so live synchronization continues after previews and restores.
Connect the Yjs v14 binding immediately, but keep an empty local document read-only and loading until shared content arrives or the provider confirms its first sync. Cached documents remain editable offline, and readiness survives disconnects and remounts. Providers without sync state keep their existing behavior.
Add a shared, token-based LoadingExtension that coordinates the loading indicator and read-only state. Initial sync and version-history loading release only their own tokens, so overlapping operations cannot clear each other's loading state.
Add a minimal YHub collaboration example with Yjs v14, real-time document sync, and shared cursors, without version-history setup. Include generated playground/docs integration and standalone example files.

Builds on #3090. Existing date formatting and restore APIs are unchanged.

Breaking changes

Remove VersionSnapshot.secondaryLabel and the corresponding snapshot UI prop. Custom version labels belong in name; authors come from by.
Replace the exported useVersionUsers and useSnapshotLabel hooks with useSnapshotUsers.
Custom snapshot components receive structured users instead of secondaryLabel.

Verification

339 sidebar browser tests passed across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit in Docker, including pinned-beginning comparisons with and without the named-only filter. The keyboard and pinned-beginning regressions were verified to fail without their fixes.
60 cross-skin browser tests passed across the same browsers, including the final contrast changes. Updated light/dark screenshot baselines were visually reviewed.
59 YHub versioning tests and 19 in-memory versioning tests passed, including regressions for silent previews and restore change notifications.
98 core versioning and Y integration unit tests passed in the latest targeted run, covering deferred history refresh, cancellation of stale reads, retry behavior, and restoration of the live binding and renderer with and without suggestions. The renderer assertion was verified to fail when using the previous merge behavior.
29 tests passed in the final targeted run covering loading-token ownership, versioning loading, and Yjs v14 initial-sync readiness, cached content, delayed hydration, and remount cleanup. The initial-sync and overlapping-loader regressions were verified to fail without their fixes.
The minimal YHub example loaded synced content and remote cursors in the playground. Example generation, dependency installation, formatting, and the docs link validator passed.
Targeted type-aware lint and formatting passed. The commit hook's vp check --fix passed.
