The remaining GroundingDINO, OmDet, OWLv2 and YOLOE image boundaries now consume generated
dimos.messagesimages through shared RGB/BGR helpers. Detector method names, query arguments and model behavior remain unchanged. OWLv2 feature-cache identity now retains integer source nanoseconds, avoiding collisions between distinct frames whose timestamps round to the same float seconds.Project: https://linear.app/dimensional/project/message-encoding-refactor-05a3ddb4af3e/overview
Base: #4659, including preserved autofix head
e156b18bdcc1ed0ec1e5ff1d5dc5bf1d3b76a433. That autofix only removes three lint comments; its Python AST equals the previously validated author commit. This dependent branch includes it directly. Final whole-stack alignment remains pending the other consumers and runtime cutover.Total parent-relative diff: 6 files, 118 additions, 18 deletions. No generated output or upstream source is checked in.
Manual verification
In the normal perception development environment:
The three cases mock only the expensive external model/processor boundary; actual image conversion, tensor post-processing, generated message encoding/decoding and feature-cache selection execute. No model weights, robot, API credentials or external service are needed. See the complete real CPU YOLO walkthrough in Perception / Detections for the user-facing generated-value path.
Verified
02d645eb86a388f1cfa655d9b67ef29fe6d59b93a22e1d6d0be527c2f5e227ac.The four new model families were tested at their migration boundaries, not through new full-weight accuracy or performance runs. No CI checks have been polled or terminal outcome claimed. Benchmark investigation remains paused. Other perception consumers, robot/navigation/control migration, default transport cutover and retirement remain implementation work; proprietary SDK, host multicast, Nix/hardware and external viewer/human gates remain separate.
