Conditional improvement

$$T(n)=O\big(n(\log n)^{1-\kappa}\big),\qquad \kappa=\frac{6558894}{10^{10}}=6.558894\times10^{-4}.$$

This is +42.30% over #144 (4.609169e-4, merged), +7.00% over #173 (6.1297e-4, the best other open PR) and +10.42% over #163. It supersedes this PR's earlier versions (6.096379e-4, 6.457084e-4 and 6.489120e-4). The complex side binds: its saving is 6563200/10¹⁰, and the bit coarse saving is 6600253/10¹⁰ (6.5961531e-4 effective). All of #144's interfaces remain assumptions.

Change

This branch contains #161's construction (#161 is closed in favor of this PR) and adds the following.

side word R W per vertex saving
complex #161 16,011 15,681 5885669/10¹⁰
complex this 13,372 13,655 6563200/10¹⁰ (+11.51%)
bit #161 23,368 26,888 5936323/10¹⁰ (coarse)
bit this 19,788 (18,028 physical) 21,548 6600253/10¹⁰ (coarse, +11.18%)

Complex word (p = 11)

Bit word (research/paired-cube-bit, p = 12)

  • Modules and merge. The word uses an all-but-one module (n = 10, 33 additions, pinned in data/qmod_p12.json) annealed from the nested prefix, and an annealed pair module with 442 additions. Its local channels use the L1 association: the G sums with keys (0,1,0), (0,1,1) and (1,2,1) add the two long face diagonals. Variant u merges each cube's face-1/edge-01 outputs into u(b0,b1) and its face-2/edge-02 outputs into w(b0,b2); each merged node is read by two single roots. There are 3,960 gauges.
  • Physical layer (new). scripts/paired_cube_bit_physical.py applies the frozen word in references/paired-cube/bit-physical: late copies, 2,884 moved operation frames and 1,760 compensated late reads. It checks:
    • register contents against the package graph;
    • exact, G-nondegenerate frames;
    • spliced role chains and pair chronology;
    • target chains in read order and the partner chronology;
    • the ledger, by recount;
    • a 64-lane aliased F2 replay with three controls rejected.

Assembly

Verification

make paired-cube-verify
python3 research/paired-cube-bit/paired_cube_bit_word.py --p 12 --check
python3 research/paired-cube-bit/check_paired_cube_bit.py --dir research/paired-cube-bit/out --p 12

make paired-cube-verify runs the producer, the complex physical layer, the terminal-sink gate, the bit package checker, the bit physical layer and the network certificate.

  • Complex. Every coefficient of H + K + B = I, frames, intersections, target chains, and the complex physical layer's spliced chains, read-order target chains, telescoping deficit and aliased mod 2⁶¹ − 1 replay with three controls.
  • Bit. The package checker (five mutation controls), byte-identical regeneration from frozen arcs, and the bit physical layer above.
  • Assembly. Both moments are strict, with the next grid points rejected. All 47 constraints and 7 margins hold.
  • Every command above passes on Linux with a clean working tree, as do the maintainer's paired-cube entry-point tests. The full suite runs in CI.

…s: kappa = 5.878747e-4

Complex: PR144's paired cubes at p = 11 with a searched triple module and an
annealed pair module; the face-2 and edge-02 outputs of each port are merged
into one signed node per (b0, b2); 7,880 operation frames moved by physical
descent and 2,970 gauged roles placed in dead donors' slots with deadline
reads (AC 5885669/10^10). Bit: the paired-cube bit word with an annealed pair
module (COARSE 5936323/10^10). Phase stop 1e-9. The complex side binds and the
47-constraint assembly gives kappa = 5878747/10^10.

DaysSky added a commit to DaysSky/integer-mult-bounds that referenced this pull request Oct 9, 2026
The only conflict was SOURCES.json: CrocSwap#168 and main each added new top-level
entries at the same place. Both sides' entries are kept unchanged (28 keys,
the union of main's 27 and CrocSwap#168's 25). make paired-cube-verify and
research/kappa-ceiling/ceiling.py --check pass on the merged tree.

's word

Every certified saving satisfies a < D/C, from e^x >= 1 + x, and kappa
is below the assembly ceiling G(a) in CrocSwap#183's closed form. For CrocSwap#168's
complex word with its circuit, arcs, gauges, reuse pairs and sinks
fixed, no choice of operation frames brings the cost below a floor
built from joint frame bounds, an exact per-register programme and
Lagrangian coupling of each operation's two registers. Hence
kappa < 7010/10^7 for every frame layout of that word; CrocSwap#168's
6.558894e-4 is 93.6% of it. No new kappa.

CrocSwap#168 is not on main, so the package carries the 48 files of CrocSwap#168 that
it reads as a pinned archive (sha256 of each file from commit 4a3c769)
and rebuilds them in a temporary directory, as
research/coordinated-frames-and-entrance-banks does. No existing file
changes.

The pinned file is byte-identical in CrocSwap#168, CrocSwap#178, CrocSwap#182, CrocSwap#189 and CrocSwap#198; CrocSwap#168 is the lowest-numbered PR found
carrying it. The three data files are also identical in CrocSwap#168. No code change.

Thank you for this contribution. Closing as incorporated into the published historical construction, with attribution retained—not as a rejection.

We rechecked the current head 4a3c769e5c5430e7114c4d3e099ff34664677f17 and all 62 changed files. Every file is preserved byte-for-byte in the PR181 source archive used by the reviewed entrance-bank checkpoint on main. The historical implementation remains reproducible there; this closure does not select its standalone exponent as the current record.

The new central ledger separates incorporated work from pending review. Mathematical claims retain the limitations in the linked review.
